The Rocks Walking Tour
Come hear tales about ordinary people who did extraordinary things and what began our compelling story of British Australian settlement!
The Rocks Walking Tour' friendly local guides specialise in providing guided walking tours within the heart of The Rocks historic and picturesque precinct.
The Tour is conducted within intimate groups of no more than 25 people for a duration of 90 minutes at a leisure pace covering approximately 2 kilometres.
Don’t forget your camera! Make a day of being in The Rocks and hire a bike, visit the Sydney Observatory or visit one of the pubs! If you are taking the tour on a Saturday, visit the infamous Rocks markets afterwards.
To ensure that you have an enjoyable experience on our tour, it always pays to be prepared, so we suggest wearing comfy shoes, bring a bottle of water and pack all weather gear appropriate to the day such as an umbrella and sunscreen. Tours are conducted rain or shine. All of the tours are conducted in English but non-English speaking visitors are welcome to bring an interpreter.
Circular Quay or Wynyard Station are the best points to make it to The Rocks. For timetable information, you’ll want to visit: https://transportnsw.info. If you are walking from one of these points, just make your way to George Street and turn right on to Argyle Street. Stay on the right-hand side where you will come across Harrington Street and a pedestrian crossing that will deliver you to the entrance of the Clocktower Square. Our office can be found on the ground floor inside the center on your right.
The Rocks Walking Tours can be suitable for wheelchairs/prams. They are conducted with a slightly modified route and therefore, staff would need to be aware of this at the time of booking.
